New Balance 574 Rugged

Momentum has been strong in the latter half of Summer ‘21 for the New Balance 574 as it has released in various Japan exclusive colorways and showed off a handful of collaborative installments. Deviating back to its range of inline items, its New Balance 574 Rugged model has now popped up in a brand new colorway that’s inspired by workwear apparel.

Classic tones often found on products like Carhartt chore jackets and Dickies 874 pants are mashed together on this latest colorway. Uppers are are devised with a mixture of suede underlays and suede overlays, the former being dyed with a murky brown hue while the latter is flooded with a lighter beige. Muted yellow accents show face on the heel’s New Balance branding, at the tips of the tongues and in diamond-shaped form throughout the creamy laces, while the side’s “N” logos are drenched in a bold orange. The bottom pieces — which in this case are cushioned with EVA foam and given a heftier, more ridged treading — are mostly colored with a beige hue but feature orange and black panels that are positioned towards the rear.

New Balance has these available right now for $85 USD.
