The Primeburger is the third video in a unique documentary series of short films by Lost & Found Films, exploring the ideas or places that serve as a concept of ‘home’ for those living in New York City. In the latest episode, the dedicated employees of The Primeburger – a famous midtown Manhattan hamburger institution since the late 1930s, are interviewed effectively shedding light on the history, nostalgia, and experiences of their time at the iconic establishment. One of the notable features highlights a waiter who has been working as a waiter since 1952 – a total of 60 years. Dripping with charisma from the old-school hangout, Prime specifically explores the roles and inspirations of the loyal New Yorkers who work there, and how the iconic restaurant represents more than just a workplace, but, in many senses of the word, a home.
