Utilizing the Sk8-Hi as a base, nonnative’s latest Vans redesign combines functionality and style. The laces are substituted for a zipper and relegated to decorative status, surrounding the laces and dangling down the side in the same vein as last year’s Converse collaboration. Substantial suede uppers complement the thick rope laces, and a checkerboard lining adds a pop of visual interest. nonnative’s understated tag appears on the tongue and insole, keeping the shoe sophisticated despite its unorthodox accents.

Look for the sneaker to release in January 2018 for ¥18,500 JPY or approximately $160 USD

 Gucci is stealing the wave that LV has set out for years. LV has been needing to hit back. Hard. Thier losing the youth and they don't seem to get it, yet. This maybe can get it back to the place of people paying attention. I love the bags. I have to get at least three. 

 With its range of seasonal goodies already available to well-heeled shoppers, Louis Vuitton‘s Spring/Summer 2018 range of goods is being readied now. The luxury behemoth takes cues from travel for its new range, specifically from one hypothetical travel manual.

Taking inspiration from Judith Schalansky’s 2009 book Atlas of Remote Islands: Fifty Islands I Have Never Set Foot On and Never Will, which recounted details of fantastical destinations without ever having visited them, creative director Kim Jones created a line of leather duffel bags, backpacks, shoulder bags, wallets and more. With Louis Vuitton’s branding and Monogram taking center stage, the collection is anything but understated, with bold hits of blue adding flair to the monochrome and earth-toned offerings. A series of leather luggage tags come already embossed with the names of desirable locals and silver-tipped drawstrings allow the tags to attach to any of the bags easily.

Outkast "Player's Ball"
At this point, it's not that much of the little fun fact but something that everybody knows. Player's Ball is not only the first song that ever got OutKast any mainstream attention but the duo raps about players ball they attend on Christmas Day. Player's Ball is about Christmas. Talk about being creative when it came to not even wanting to do the La Face Family Christmas Album, to begin with.  This ironic song would also find it's way to the duo's debut album.  I'm talking bout a black man heaven here.

 The stuff of legends has finally been found on Apple Music. I been searching high and low and only finding the remix. Not anymore. Those days are gone. I can now enjoy the 69 Boyz holiday classic without youtube.Because it's twelve things on the Christmas list and it goes a little something like this.  Fun fact: This is one of the five (yeah) rap songs that my mom actually like.

 Such the wildest tale of what happens in Hollis around Christmas. 

It's that time of the year again. When all the kids finally gain ears and do this odd thing called "Listening". Funny how it starts and end within the span of a month. My niece too young so I don't get that month yet. What I do get is what everybody else gets.  The holiday Christmas party. The worst and best of times wrapped into one. This is where you hope the words "Pot" and "Luck" are not put together. We don't do that at Squire + Said. Keep whatever you made for the real people you love. I'm sure they enjoy that seven layers of whatever, that doesn't have a lick of seasoning. Keep it. 

What I do want is the party to be live and the music to be pumping. (Sorry Jersey Shore marathon on). Just not too much. Don't be touching people that don't wanna be touched. 


 It's safe to say that I shall be the freshest person at the Squire + Said party. Actually, this post and this look can be something year around, this is just what I will be wearing as I try not to waste Calamari on my shirt. 

This is one of the jackets I bought earlier in the year and been saving it for just the right time. I didn't want the first time wearing this to be not around the holidays. I was thinking about bringing this out for the Tom Ford show but passed on it. It's not Tom Ford. It seems right to bring it out now cause I won't be wearing another ugly sweater again. 


 I'm never going to but smoking a Cuban while wearing a turtleneck seems pretty dope.  I have been matching them up with all my suit jackets lately. Gives off the playboy vibes. Like you should be in some dark room with the light only on you. Ready to break the legs of some dude that owes you enough money that his life has to be taken. Whoa, too much? Yeah. 




 The holiday season is the best time to let your hair down. Me not so much. My hair seems to do what it wants to do. So now seems to be the time to bring out the jeans. Ripped, of course. 


When you saw the jeans you already knew what was coming next cause it was not gonna be anything else. I can't  look down and see the disrespect that the jeans would be doing to some loafs or sneakers.
