In commemoration of their 2 year anniversary, designers Flying Coffin have collaborated with Manik Skateboards and Goods to release an limited-edition interlocking set of skateboard decks. A pastiche of some of the beautiful work that Flying Coffin has done over the years, there is surprising continuity from board to board, showcasing some of the amazing paintings they’ve released. Examining the collage more closely, there’s some truly exceptional work etched into these boards – note the dope Supersonics tribute and the slit wrist pieces. With 50 sets being released in conjunction with a shirt – featuring graphics further etched from the skateboard-collage – you can peep these decks at the Flying Coffin webstore.

Pushing the envelope of sponsor involvement, Mountain Dew link up Paul Rodriguez with artist Don Pendleton to kick off its special Green Label Art: Shop Series for 2010. The initiative calls for 35 skate shops across the country to create their own version of the Mountain Dew can, along with a local artist of their choice to provide the artwork. The winning entry will make its way to stores next year as an official Mountain Dew can for the new year. Members of the éS skate team let us in on their adventure as they take to the conservative streets of London on their boards, maneuvering around busy crowds in search of places to skate, while also taking the time to enjoy all the little things the city has to offer, such as the changing of the guards and the Natural History Museum.

One of the most realest skaters haves to Antwuan. He is so down to earth.

Skating entrepreneur Rob Dydrek launches an all new initiative with Street League. Signing many of the skate world’s top skaters and vying for a total purse of $1.6 million USD, a video previewing the upcoming competition which includes the signing of Eric Koston and Geoff Rowley to multi-year contracts. 2010 will include three stops on the tour including the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona on August 28th; the Citizen Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California on September 11th and the Thomas & Mack Arena in Las, California on September 25th.
