With Christmas around the corner, Nike Basketball will again be releasing exclusive holiday-themed sneakers and Kobe is the first of the big three to be unveiled. The Flyknit upper in a predominately red colorway with small glimpses of white peeking through, complemented by tonal laces and a black Swoosh. Moving down is a multicolored camo-patterned midsole and outsole featuring the red and white color scheme. Additional details include the subtle use of green on the foam insert, outsole and heel notches to round off the Christmas vibes. The exclusive Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Christmas” model is set to release the day after Christmas on December 26, online at Nice Kicks, which is the day after Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers play the Chicago Bulls.

Savannah College of Art and Design and André 3000 Benjamin opened the co-produced exhibition i feel ya at Mana Miami this week, letting the public in on their longstanding relationship. The crowds that flocked to the VIP reception represented interests as diverse as the pieces in the installation, from SCAD alumni and students in fields like performance, sequential art and film, to die hard fans of hip-hop. After absorbing the interplay between the army of 47 suits André wore for Outkast’s reunion tour, Greg Brunkalla’s (B.F.A., film and television, 2001) film and Jimmy O’Neal's (B.F.A., illustration, 1989) reflective Rorschach-like paintings, guests left their reactions on an expression wall where André's drawing of his suit stood watch, ripped from the pages of his sketch book.

We all been to a couple of parties around the holidays. Most of the time it's awkward. Everybody standing around and drinking juice. Talking about some random things and how big little Jimmy has gotten. The thing that makes them worth going to is always the food? That's a big reason why I go to Weller & Zimaro ones. NYPD on video, killing Eric Garner. I remember watching this months ago and thinking it's no way they get away with this. JESUS, I was wrong.I guess killing people is a sport and the cops playing for high score. I want you to watch this video. Watch the whole thing.This proves body cameras won't make a difference. Waste of money. Start to the end you can see what happens.
When I was young, I wanted to be a police man. Till I found out they get killed. Guess I had that backwards. I guess the officer feared for his life when strangling this man to death. (Sarcasm)

Following the Black/Metallic and Halloween editions of the Nike Air Max 90, another iteration of the iconic silhouette is now available. This time, the shoe is predominantly black with leather accents, while a white midsole and shape shifting iridescent details can be found on the Swoosh, tongue tab and eyelets to add some contrast. Along with aesthetic touches, the shoe retains its solid mudguard running through the toe box and the Air Max branding on the upper.
