For Spring/Summer 2012, Vans will be offering this festive Lo Pro rendition, aptly titled “Washed Stripe.” The shoe’s stars and stripes upper is constructed from panels of washed denim yielding a heavily ‘washed,’ vintage look, while the sole is simply Vans’ classic vulcanized rubber — perfect for a patriotic skate session. The ninth installment of the VOYR series that has been chronicling the exploits of Jay-Z and Kanye West along the “Watch the Throne” tour this time focuses on members of the band. In this episode, the band, consisting of Omar Edwards (keyboards), Mike Dean (producer/keyboards/guitars) and Million $ Mano (DJ) get some time in front of the camera. The clip shows the last day of rehearsals for the tour in October 2011 and features behind-the-scenes footage.

The Air Yeezy marked one of the first times Nike ever allowed a non-athlete to design a signature sneaker – cementing Kanye West as a certifiable tastemaker. After getting teasers here and there, solid images of the Air Yeezy 2 in wolf grey/pure platinum have hit the web. Aesthetically, the most striking difference from the original is the hard ridges that run along the back of the shoe, somewhat similar to the recently released “Urban Swift” by Hussein Chalayan for PUMA. The shoe also seems to take inspiration from ancient Egyptian mythology, as the logo on the tongue is of the mythological god Horus, which Kanye famously made into an oversized gold pendant. Performance Torch fabric is used for the tongue, while the rest of the shoe is comprised of nylon mesh, suede and snake skin leather. Other details include glow-in-the-dark soles, a leather lace toggle and chunky metal lace tips. The shoes will be released at Limited Edt Vault, Singapore, as well as other stockists across the world on April 13, 2012.

In a new commercial created by Deutsch Hayek frantically searches for milk only to discover it's not so easy to find. God I can watch this ad over and over again. 
Anyway, Hayek finally finds her milk...from a milk man, of course...and returns home only to find out she needs to go out and buy cereal. Salma try Wal-Mart next time, better yet my  house :)

What has surely become one of the most memorable music video vehicles, the recent announcement that Jay-Z and Kanye West’s chopped up “Otis” Maybach would be auctioned off has culminated today with the news that the car has fetched $60,000 last week as a part of the New York Contemporary Art Evening. The car, which normally is priced at $300,000 – $350,000, sold to its winning bidder in just under five minutes. Despite the video footage of the Watch the Throne duo cruising in it, the Maybach was sold as a work of art as opposed to an operational vehicle. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Save the Children’s efforts to feed and support children in Africa.
