Vans and Discovery have come together on a select footwear range to celebrate this year’s Shark Week. Comprised of a Sk8-Hi and Slip-On, proceeds from the collaborative collection will support Oceana’s mission to protect the world’s oceans and the sharks that call them home.

The Sk8-Hi is centered around a powerful shark print that plays on Vans’ iconic side stripe detail. Constructed of canvas and suede, the shoe features re-enforced toecaps, padded collars, and rubber waffle outsoles paired with contrasting white sole foxing. The canvas upper found on the accompanying Slip-On is decorated with a playful illustrated shark print marked with polka dot and stripe patterns. Detailing on the shoe comes in the form of elastic side accents, padded collars and the rubber waffle outsole contrasting white sole foxing pairing once again.

Priced at $65 and $75 USD, the Discovery Shark Week x Vans collection is available now at vans.com and select retailers.

Vans has adorned its OG Slip-On 59 LX with a classic branding combination. Arriving in canvas uppers of either black or white, the silhouette emblazoned in a fusion of its iconic checkerboard pattern and capitalized logo. The black iteration hints at subtle emblems of green and purple hues while its opposing model holds an additional fiery shade of red. Additional Vans insignias can be found on the white and blue quarter tag and the bright red “Off The Wall Originals” mark on the heel.

The Vans OG Slip-On 59 LX drops August 12 at select retailers like 43einhalb.com for approximately $90 USD..

As part of its forthcoming Fall/Winter 2019 seasonal range, Versace has dropped a new colorway of its recently debuted Chain Reaction 2 sneakers. Designed by Salehe Bembury, the updated silhouette features identical characteristics as the previous, yet opts for a different paneling layout of the upper’s cage — it also is no longer rubber, trading the material for various leathers.

The new iteration has been doused in blue mesh and suede, interchanged with gray highlights that are placed throughout. This is met by a standard lace-up fastening system, braille “love” lettering on the toe, and of course, the shoe’s head-turning Chain Link outsole that’s marked with the brand’s various motifs.

You can check out the made-in-Italy sneaker in the gallery above. If you’re interested in picking up a pair of the sneakers for yourself, head over to Antonia’s web store where they are retailing for approximately $750 USD

The yellow colorway is about as “absorbent and yellow and porous” as Spongebob himself, with the bright woven upper dotted by “holes,” complete with a kelp-inspired lateral side Swoosh. Meanwhile, Patrick’s sneaker sports a bubble pattern and a Swoosh emblazoned with a texture reminiscent of the starfish himself, while the midsole matches his preferred swim trunks. The faces of both Spongebob and Patrick appear on the insole of their respective sneakers, with a scrawled signature embroidered behind the tongues to complete the playful designs.

The collaborative Kyrie 5 hit Nike’s SNKRS on August 10 for $130 USD

Accompanying the luxury label’s NYC pop-up space, Louis Vuitton has taken over the first and seventh floors of Dover Street Market Ginza with another Fall/Winter 2019 pop-up shop. Unlike the neon green hues of the former location, the Japanese outpost sports warm tones, though it also offers a bevy of covetable goods hidden within.

A bold orange hue informs the space, complete with thematic additions like tonal mannequins, a bicycle, bench and even a miniature castle. These set pieces grant a whimsical tone to the displays, which host a wide array of fuzzy layering pieces, statement sneakers, eyewear and revamped takes on the house’s classic bags. Key items plucked straight from the runway include multi-pocketed zip-up vests, neon-tinged pouches fitted with black chains and tonal revisions of Louis Vuitton’s menswear sneaker silhouettes.

Take a closer look at key pieces below and check them out in person at DSMG until July 28.

Yohji Yamamoto and adidas have come together once again for a triple black rendition of the Y-3 Raito Racer. In true Y-3 style, the Raito Racer adopts a technical profile and is yet another super-minimalist offering from the collaborative powerhouse.

The soon-dropping “Black-Y3/Black-Y3/Ftwr White” version features a black Primeknit upper speckled with white threads and a stretchy white and black collar. It sits atop a black BOOST sole unit taken from adidas’ I-5923 silhouette, which is paired with a Quickstrike outsole for added traction and durability.

“Raito” in Japanese means “Light,” and so the focus of the Raito Runner is to keep everything as light as possible. Its Quickstrike outsole is molded right onto the BOOST midsole, reducing unnecessary weight, while an all-new lightweight lacing system has been implemented for an updated look which offers increased structure and support.

Rounding off the Y-3 Raito Racer’s look is a pair of suede overlays towards the toe box and an embroidered Y-3 logo on the tongue. The sneaker will release on July 15 for £279 GBP (approx. $348 USD) at retailers such as Sneakersnstuff.

Vans’ latest offering in its deconstructed series has arrived in a Sk8-Hi silhouette. Much like its predecessors, the newest revamp comes with a side zipper dividing the black canvas base and extended suede lavender heel wrap for organized chaos. Additional contrasting hues can be found on the identical azalea pink Jazz stripe and zipper pull, red tongue strips, a green and black checkerboard patch on the midsole and the mismatched white and lavender eyestays.
