After releasing a first look earlier this month, Vans has now released a full look at its footwear and apparel collection dedicated to The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The footwear collection features 10 different styles, based around six classic Vans silhouettes. The Sk8-Hi silhouette is reworked with a nod to Jack’s Lament, one of the film’s most famous scenes, with panels showing Jack’s walk through the Halloween Town cemetery and “Nice Work, Bone Daddy” written inside the collar. Additionally the Sk8-Hi also releases in a design themed around Sally’s potion bottles in the movie.

Other silhouettes include the classic Slip-On, with one design including applique batwing and another with a reference to Oogie Boogie’s shadow, as well as the Era Stacked — in a patchwork colorway dedicated to Sally — and the Old Skool, with one design honoring Oogie Boogie’s three henchman. Rounding out the collection is the ComfyCush Authentic, which sees The Nightmare Before Christmas characters on a checkerboard backdrop, and two sets of slides.

Alongside the sneakers, the collaboration also encompasses a range of apparel and accessories. Standout pieces include Oogie Boogie-themed coach jackets and long sleeves, as well as various graphic-printed socks, caps and backpacks.

Take a look at The Nightmare Before Christmas x Vans full collection in the gallery above, and expect the collection to arrive at select stockists and the Vans web store on October 4.

As veganism becomes increasingly popular, some of hip-hop’s most notable names are taking part: Jay Z and Beyonce offered concert tickets to fans who adopted plant-based diets; Jaden Smith launched a vegan food truck for the homeless; ASAP Rocky rapped about being vegan on his new single.

Complex News Presents sits down with Jermaine Dupri, Lemel Durrah, founder of Compton Vegan, and Olympia Auset, founder of SUPRMARKT, to explore the reasons some rappers are trying veganism, and how plant-based diets address issues relevant to the communities they come from.

Louis Vuitton releases its latest “New Classics” collection in Eclipse Monogram. Reinvented under the care of Virgil Abloh, the collection takes the iconic pattern and shades of grey and applies it to four smaller leather good styles: the Steamer PM, Soft Trunk, Mini Soft Trunk, and the Pochetta Volga.

The contemporary shapes coupled with darker tones embrace a new sense of masculinity. Details in the reinterpreted collection include metallic finishing, matte-effect resin chain hardware, and supple leather construction. The Pochette Volga features a hybrid design which allows for the carrying option to be used as a small bag or as a large wallet via its detachable chain handle; the Pochette Volga can carry up to three mobile phones.

Look for the “New Classics” collection to hit Louis Vuitton flagship stores in the coming weeks.

After announcing the collaboration only one day ago, detailed imagery of Vans‘ The Nightmare Before Christmas collaboration has surfaced. The four-piece collection includes some of Vans’ most-familiar skate silhouettes, elevated with a healthy dose of color and thematic detailing.

A Sk8-Hi, Authentic, Old-Skool and Slip-On have all received The Nightmare Before Christmas makeovers, with plenty of thoughtful touches hidden throughout. For instance, the Authentic, already overloaded with a collage of TNBC characters atop the canvas upper, features a subtle Easter Bunny print hidden inside the sockliner. Similarly, the Sk8-Hi sports prints of Sally, Zero and the Zombie Band on each side, with the sax player’s classic “Nice work, bone daddy” line emblazoned inside the leather heel.

Elsewhere, the Authentics offer bold yellow and red tones beneath a lateral side patch of Lock, Stock and Barrel, with their traps and toys printed on the opposite side. Black suede toes and tongues mirror the detailing on the Sk8-Hi. Finally, the Slip-On features a plastic appliqué of Jack Skellington’s bowtie, complete with matching stripes surrounding the white canvas uppers and black suede heel. All the shoes sport red Vans branding atop the tongue and/or heel patches, with a black swirl printed beneath.

Expect them to officially launch next month for $70 USD apiece ($75 USD for the Sk8-Hi).

In honor of influential record label Ghostly International’s 20 years in the business, Vans is serving up a special pair of classic silhouettes, reimagined with thematic details. “The chance to design shoes with [Vans] is a dream come true,” says Ghostly founder and creative director Sam Valenti, underlining the synchronized mindset that fuels this celebratory release.

Each sneaker is executed in monochrome shades, highlighting the contrasting blue sockliner, which features logos from both Ghostly and Vans. The white Slip-On sports a tonal upper and midsole, with a stark black foxing stripe, while its darker counterpart, the Sk8-Hi, offers a black canvas upper and rubber midsole, juxtaposed against a white leather Jazz Stripe. Each model is emblazoned with an all-over 3M print of the Ghostly logo, offering a subtle flash of visual interest to complement the matte eyelets.

Head to Vans’ for more information and to purchase the sneakers on October 1, along with stockists like Blends, Bodega, Concepts and Notre.

After the Nike Adapt Huarache “Opti-Yellow” officially released, the innovative silhouette now gets an on-foot look as well as an example of how it works.

The power-lacing system and LED lights in the sole unit are inspired by the Nike MAG. Lacing has been refined and is controlled through a dedicated Nike app, which has indicators on the screen to tighten and loosen the sneakers.

A closer look at the Nike Adapt Huarache “Opti-Yellow” shows the breathable mesh upper in detail, getting up close to the various panels and layers that make up the shoe’s body. A standout feature of the shoe is its transparent vamp overlay, which acts as the lacing system by tightening and becoming flush to the upper. It sports technical information all-around and is attached to the “FIT ADAPT” heel clip, black sole unit with its LED component and a rounded-triangular shaped Nike Swoosh tag.

Rounding off the shoe is the color-changing LED light on the sole unit, which is also controlled in-app.
