Tbh, it has KFC chicken beat from what I can remember. It's more crispy with a better consistency of taste. Don't have to worry about the fear of dryness or skin sogginess that comes with chicken cuz it's a plant. So you get a nice consistency every time you take a bite of this. If you want to get a sense/taste Vegan nuggets in general, Morning Star makes some pretty good ones that are available at every grocery store. (This has them beat and I love Morning Star to death). Beyond Meat is IMO the Gourmet of meatless meat.

Sorry, no story about the air that day.

The sneakers take on the classic Old Skool aesthetic and update it with luxe suede, leather and premium canvas in colors including pastel pink, blue and purple alongside yellow, brown, black, white and red tones.

Canadian boutique Off the Hook has tapped Vans for a new collaboration to celebrate its hometown of Montreal. The new collection, titled “Chez Nous,” features three new colorways of the classic Vans Era LX silhouette with a luxe leather and suede detailings.

The styles in the Chez Nous collection pay homage to OTH‘s three Montreal shops. Vieux-Montréal is inspired by Montreal’s historic Old Port, with a dark blue exterior to call to mind the Saint Lawrence River that borders the city. The rusty brown Centre-Ville style is named for Montreal’s downtown and evokes the city’s architecture. The Plateau colorway is a thyme green to evoke the leafy green streets of the neighborhood and the famous Mount Royal, for which the city is named.

Like many of OTH’s previous collaborations, the Vans collection hopes to create an authentic celebration of Montreal’s history. The boutique has previously collaborated with Vans on a Mid Skool ’77 LX inspired by Montreal’s food culture.

The Chez Nous collection launches today at OTH’s Downtown Montreal boutique, with the sneakers available via the Frenzy app beginning at 12 P.M. EST.

Vans is partnering with pro-surfer and creative visionary Alex Knost for a new sneaker collection. The two are bringing back one of the oldest designs in the footwear’s archive, the Style 36 Decon SF, while also upgrading the Sk8-Hi 138 Decon SF.

Alex Knost’s new and original takes on the classic silhouettes were inspired by his ‘80s Coupe de Ville Cadillac, using the colors found in his retro car and transforming them into a color palette. As part of the vegan patent leather sneaker collection, the Style 36 Decon SF is given a glossy “Bitter Chocolate” colorway. Knost also upgrades the Sk8-Hi 138 Decon SF in a shiny “Dress Blues” and brown colorway, the exact inverse of the Style 36 Decon SF. Both sneakers have vulcanized natural gum soles, rubber toecaps, and Vans’ UltraCush insoles.

Inspired by surfing’s subculture and ’60s and ’70s skateboard design, Alex Knost continues to deepen his connection to the sport while exploring various artistic mediums. His involvement in Tomorrow Tulips, what L.A. Record magazine calls “lo-fi minimal experimental psychedelia,” shows that his deep influence extends beyond surfing alone to other creative initiatives.

Shop the entire collection now at Vans.com. The Style 36 Decon SF is available for $67 USD and the Sk8-Hi 138 Decon SF for $74 USD.

Following the recently unveiled collaboration with Engineered Garments, Vans is back, this time teaming up with Baker Skateboards for a graphic-heavy capsule of sneakers, shirts and hoodies.

Featured footwear silhouettes include classics like the Vans Old Skool Pro, Sk8-Hi Pro, Slip-On Pro and Style 112. Each model sees Baker Skateboard’s logo sporadically emblazoned in bold arrangements of red, black and white. As finishing notes, the sneakers are completed with Baker’s slogan scrawled over the walls of the midsole: “Giving Skateboarding a bad name since 2000.”

The lineup of apparel also follows the thematic color scheme, displaying red accents over monochromatic bases. One highlight is the Baker Boys T-shirt, displaying warped photos of street signs on the front and back, juxtaposing slogans from each brand; the words “Off the wall since 1966” is placed at the front while “Giving skateboarding a bad name since 2000” appears at the back. Other pieces like a crisp white pair of pants, socks, a six-panel cap and a hoodie round up the bold range.

The Baker Skateboards x Vans Capsule is currently available at vans.com, ranging from
$24 to $75 USD.

Burger King has announced that it will sell its Impossible Foods plant-based Whopper at every location across America later next week. A “taste test” will also be rolled out to encourage customers to taste both a standard Whopper and the meat-free alternative until September 1 through the DoorDash and Burger King app. The $5.59 USD Burger King “Impossible Whopper” can be picked up throughout the US starting August 8. The Whopper is available for as long as supplies last.

OG:
Burger King follows in White Castle‘s meat-free footsteps by releasing the “Impossible Whopper”. The plant-based patty is currently limited to just one location, with the roll-out only covering 59 Burger King stores in St. Louis, Missouri.

The vegan burger patty is partnered with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion, complemented by obligatory servings of ketchup and (non-vegan) mayonnaise. The company behind the Burger King Whopper is Impossible Foods, which is known for its “bleeding” meat-free burger, reportedly replicating smell, sizzle and flavour.

Watch St. Louis customers get pranked for April Fool’s Day in Burger King’s latest promotional video below, and head to one of its franchises to try one of the meat-free Whoppers for yourself. There’s no news yet on whether the “Impossible Whopper” will get a full Burger King roll out, but keep checking for more details.

Nike‘s run of playful denim makeovers continues with this striking take on the Air More Uptempo ‘96. Sporting an all-denim upper, varying shades of sturdy cotton inform the classic silhouette with a sense of rugged cowboy charm, accented by hits of bold orange.

Different shades of indigo lend depth to the textured upper, which sees the “AIR” branding, forefoot swoosh, toebox and vamp all executed in darker shades than the surrounding washed-out hues. Breathable mesh in between the laces makes the shoe a touch more versatile for hot weather, while a bold orange Swoosh on the tongue adds an extra dimension of visual impact. A white sole unit helps to ground the design, while tying in with the light-colored denim on the toe and heel.

Look for the head-turning Air More Uptempo ‘96 to hit stockists like Jimmy Jazz on August 10.
