Luxury retailer The Webster has teamed with Vans‘ premium Vault by Vans imprint for three tropical takes on the Bold Ni LX. Inspired by The Webster’s extravagant Miami roots and the fauna of the Florida Everglades, each sneaker features elevated detailing and a monochromatic pastel color scheme.

From a color standpoint, there’s a cool Tiffany blue, a vibrant pink that seems to draw from The Webster’s signature flamingo logo and a no-frills white. All three pairs boast croc leather quarter panels, accented by smooth suede on the jumbo Jazz Stripes, the t-shaped toebox overlay and the throat. Heels offer a more shaggy suede, and each look is completed by tonal midsole badges. Packaging is special as well, with each shoebox boasting a pink tropical floral print taken directly from The Webster founder/CEO Laure Hériard Dubreuil’s vintage wallpaper collection.

“As we continue to grow as a company, our connection to Miami strengthens and is always represented no matter where we are. It has helped us establish major parts of our brand’s DNA, from the streets of South Beach lined with historic Art Deco buildings, to the sunny disposition,” says Dubreuil. “I am so excited and grateful that Vans has partnered with us in creating the perfect homage to our founding city. The capsule truly captures the essence of Miami down to the pastel colors and vintage silhouette.”

Look for The Webster x Vault By Vans’ Bold Ni collection to release via The Webster’s webstore and all its retail locations on April 19. The MSRP is set at $110 USD, and a portion of the proceeds from each pair will go to Friends of the Everglades, a non-profit charity dedicated to preserving Florida’s swamps.

When Vans was founded back in 1966, it would offer custom sneakers to anyone who came with a color request or brought their own material — because its factory was right next to its retail store. As Vans grew and changed in the ’70s and ’80s, it started offering other special embellishments on its footwear like custom sidewall print. Now, in 2021 that custom sidewall option is being acknowledged with a new turtle-printed iteration of the Old Skool.

Sporty seafoam green hues coat the canvas and suede upper — the former material is used on the quarter panels and collar, the latter on the toebox, eyestays and heel — with white contrast stitching, Jazz Stripes, laces and collars adding airy flair to the mix. Down below, Vans’ famed “Off the Wall” skateboard graphic is turned into playful cartoon turtle, done up in navy and placed in repeating fashion on the white midsole. Finishing touches are supplied by a sporty blue foxing stripe and a recognizable red heel badge.

This turtle-adorned Vans Old Skool is available now at Japanese retailers like BILLY’s Tokyo, $75. A US release may follow in the coming weeks.

Nike AM90 boasts a “White/Midnight Navy/Obsidian/University Gold” palette and is loaded with compelling details.

Uppers are composed of a crisp white jersey mesh that’s bolstered by navy leather mudguards and midfoot pieces. Each of these pieces supplies unique contrast stitching: the mudguard is accented by maize stitching and the top overlay shows off obsidian details. More maize is present on the midfoot Swoosh and “window” detail, while eyestays are split between maize and navy.

Rubberized heel badges combine maize, navy and white, while navy tongues are made of their own jersey mesh. More branding arrives via a white and navy Nike Sportswear tongue tag and a maize spellout on the navy insoles. Pure white midsoles with a navy Air cushioning unit and multicolored outsoles complete the look.

This Air Max 90 is available on the Nike webstore now, and is priced at $120 USD.

Nike‘s Sportswear division has a duo of models that are celebrating its 30th anniversary this year in the Air Huarache and the Air Structure. The latter, after being unveiled in a “White/Neo Teal” colorway, has just launched its “Grey Fog/Black” and “Black/Smoke Grey” palettes.

The “Grey Fog/Black” iteration is the slightly more playful version of the two as appealing “Lapis” pops are distributed to the leather Swooshes and eye stays as well as the branding on the tongues and heels. Its perforated mesh underlay goes for a simplistic white and comes complemented with “Grey Fog” TPU heel molds and leather forefoot overlays in addition to stealthy suedes applied to towards the mid-foot and rear. Midsoles are prepared with more grayscale color-blocking on the lateral sides while the medial sides usher in a subtle splash of “Lapis” towards the back end.

Its release sibling is one that is exclusively reliant on neutral tones. Black makes the biggest statement here as it cascades over the mesh base layers and accompanying mid-foot and heel overlays. From there, “Smoke Grey” notes spill onto the forefoot and angular rear molds, as well as the tongues. Angelic finishes are then shown off on the Swooshes and upper’s branding. Midsole pieces continue its motif by sporting white backgrounds with nominal tones.

Both offerings are available right now via Nike for $120 USD a piece.

Swatch has developed an entirely new watchmaking material, a mix of ceramic and a bioplastic produced using castor oil.

The Bioceramic debuts as the case material of a 47mm Big Bold watch, released in five muted colours; black, white, light grey, sky blue and powder pink.

The mix of two thirds ceramic, one third bioplastic and a pigment produces a robust, lightweight material offering scratch resistance and a tactile ‘soft touch’ finish. The watches are complemented by colour-matched bioplastic straps and keepers.

The watch’s lack of a dial and steep internal wall pulls focus on the hands and the architectural structure of the case while showing off the simplicity of its quartz movement.

Swatch has developed the Bioceramic material to be compatible with its existing machinery and intends to make use it throughout its  collection, although the brand states there is no intention to use it to entirely replace plastic in its watches.

The Big Bold Bioceramic drops on April 15 via Swatch, priced $149 USD.

P and adidas is giving us the color that we have been wanting.  Skateboard P and the adidas Originals design team baptize a majority of the real estate here with a soft pink hue. The dusted complexions are responsible for wrapping nearly every inch including the PrimeKnit base layer, cages, heel overlays and the embroidered “Human Race” wording that sprawls across the toe boxes in Japanese. The only contrasting notes notes up top are seen through the laces which flecked with gray accents and the interior lining which is dyed in stark black.

Midsole designs call upon the “Think Pink” mentality as well by painting both the BOOST cushioning and molds in the thematic pigment, the latter of which slightly skews to the lighter side.

If you’re interested in this Pharrell adidas NMD Hu “Pink” colorway, you can find it launching via CONFIRMED and through select retailers on March 27, 2021. Retail price is set for $220 USD.

Maybe I have been watching the movie too much but I feel like dressing like Babe. The pig. You know that movie was kinda fucked up. Smartest pig in the world left to live on a farm and watch your friends die. Dark-ass movie.

I know that didn't happen in the movie but that happens on the farms. Damn, I sound Vegan without trying to be while also being Vegan.

Anyways. Let's dress like Babe after he has been rolling in the mud. Bacon gang shit.

Slim Fit Twill Pants

You think the pants hanging anywhere that's lower than the ankles you outta the mind that's between the two ears of yours. Keep them high. You know the sneakers about to show.

I'm really one of those people that hate people that wear band shirts and don't know anything about the damn band. It makes me mad. I feel old but I felt this way when I was young too. It's so rude. You see somebody wearing something and you think you about to bond over the band and they just like the smiley face on the back. I swear I hate y'all.

I said this joking but it is like that. I yelled "Mimimimi, Galileo" at this lady wearing a Queen shirt. A Queen shirt and this woman had never heard a Queen shirt and had no clue what was going on. She wasn't even trolling. Nah, I be hating y'all I swear.

Sub-Dials Dress Watch with Brown Leather Strap

I don't think that I will be putting on the watch. I'm on the edge about it at this time. I want too but I think it might be too much. It also has that hit of blue that is messing with me. Another day we good to go. Today, not so well. I probably will.

Btw, Tommy you over name this watch. Just saying.

Nike Air Vapormax Plus

You knew this look was going to end with the red sneakers. You had to know when this post started. Now I can't tell you when it started but for the love of God pig and red will be the hold on us Humans till we leave this earth. Doesn't make sense I guess. Bacon is brown. If yo bacon red, you might have problems? I can't lie I haven't had bacon in some long I had to google it. I used to love it chewy and that is something you can't get as a vegan. The V bacon does be good tho.

What you wearing today? Let me know on  Twitter / Instagram
