While the reintroduction of the PUMA OG Palace Guard saw the original colors of the Detroit Pistons, this latest Palace Guard highlights a particular era of the franchise basketball team.

Taking us back to the late ’80s-early ’90s, the new colorway sheds light on the “Bad Boys” era of the Detroit Pistons. The Halloween colors bring back images of an orange basketball over a black background, and at the center of that basketball appears a skull and crossbones — the original logo of the Bad Boys. With players like Dennis Rodman, Rick Mahorn and Isiah Thomas associated with the Detroit Pistons’ “Bad Boys,” it’s easy to deduce where the name came from; they were known for their rough, relentless, and borderline dirty style of play.

Like the previous OG release, the Palace Guard “Bad Boys” also see Puma’s Trinomic cushioning technology, a polyurethane midsole, a molded sockliner, and features a 3D basketball logo at the tongue. Those interested can expect these to drop April 1 at PUMA locations and select retailers like COUTIÉ for a retail price of $110 USD.

How much pink is too much pink before you become a mean girl? Asking for a friend cause I can care less. Hey, I made it this far without quoting the movie. I'm proud. Anyways, I have to keep adding to the never-ending suit section for me. I can never have enough but never have the right one when it's time.

 Pink Velvet Skinny Blazer
Maybe I will go to a day party with this one. Maybe not.Actually, yeah. I will have the reason to wear white pants with this. I can't say that I would wear white ones at night. While on the subject: How do y'all feel about leather pants? You feeling them or nah? I lowkey want some but I don't know. Maybe I should stop watching "The Dirt" on Netflix.

 Black Jacquard Skinny Blazer
If you're new around here. I dress like the pimp that had to walk away from the life he had before. Like he's outta the game but the style lives a little. Think of it as the episode of The Wayans Bros when TC was leaving the style. Better yet, the episode of EvE when Morris Day came in and they didn't want to make a suit for a pimp so they made it flashy side in.

That's me. Only I never been a pimp and doesn't have any sex workers to pimp. Sidenote: It's 2019, ladies you don't need one.

Navy Digi Print Skinny Blazer

Sometimes you have to wear the war paint to the meeting without wearing the war paint to the meeting.  I don't wear the pants to match with this. That's doing too much. I know I point this out for all the risky prints I wear but in case you new. You know too.

Anyways, that's what I have been wearing to the too early in the morning meetings I have been dragging myself to go it. All the pants have been black.
All the suits are from Top Man (Click the banner below). I style on a budget, spend less get more.

Anyways let me know on Instagram/ Twitter what you wearing today.

Vans Vault has reworked its staple classics once again for a Spring/Summer 2019 fuzzy pony hair pack. Taking on the SK8-Hi and Slip-On, the skate brand’s Vault subdivision has swathed each pair in mismatched animal prints, checkerboard patterns and small hits of suede, making for a luxurious SS19 pack.

Both the SK8-Hi and Slip-On are available in black and brown iterations. The black SK8-Hi sees a majorly solid patch of pony hair checkerboard, with touches of suede on the toe box and leather on the eyestay. The brown pair features a mix of brown fuzzy hair checkerboard print, cheetah print on the tongue and toe box, and cow print on the Jazz Stripe.

Whereas the SK8-His are complete with a side-access zipper and an eyestay that flows over the midsole, the Slip-On’s take on an Old Skool aesthetic with the inclusion of laces. Following the same design language as its high-top sibling, each Slip-On pair sees a reworked Vans heel tab which is placed on the lateral side of the midsole in this disruptive pony hair pack.

Priced at $125 USD, head to retailers such as featuresneakerboutique.com to cop your favorite pair.

For the past 10 years, street photographer Patrick Barr aka Tiger Hood has become a local legend known for bringing golf to the streets of NYC. It’s a game that requires only three items: a golf club, a newspaper-stuffed milk carton, and a crate. What was initially just a way for Barr to pass time has gained traction from major news outlets and celebrities on a global scale. However, street golf seems to overshadow his true passion… photography. Barr’s archive consists of thousands of mind blowing film photographs of NYC from the 1990’s to 2000’s. His goal was to preserve a time and place that he predicted would dissolve in the coming years. With his archive as evidence, he predicted correctly.

“Neighborhood Golf Association” is a short documentary by long time friend, Nicolas Heller aka New York Nico. The 12-minute film explores a day in the life of Barr supplemented by archive footage collected over their three-year friendship.

Directed and Produced by Nicolas Heller

Years ago, Tyrrell Winston began scavenging trash around his Brooklyn, NY neighborhood to utilize as materials for his collage artworks and sculptures. Winston is especially privy to using discarded cigarette butts, basketballs, and nets for his latest pieces. Oftentimes, the LA-born creative would walk for miles to collect trash for repurposing — a charitable and meaningful endeavor for the artist who aims to shed light on the stories behind every ditched item he gathers. “The perfect basketball is weathered and worn. The perfect broken net is a rusted metal chainlink net that is totally mangled. The perfect cigarette to me is a Winston cigarette. I’m biased, my last name is Winston,” he said.

“[The cigarette] would have lipstick on it and it wouldn’t be too smashed up. It would still be firm.”

What he uncovers is a sinister world of fraternity, violence and hypermasculinity and a woman (Imogen Poots) fighting for her place in it. 2018 | January 2019

Is 2019 February the oddest Black History Month in the history of Black History?  Cause it seem like all the shits was happening in that short of a time. The Oscars came and saved it all. Congrats to Spike. They finally did the right thing. I'm sorry, I had to say it. I know it was corny. I'll shut up now.

Each and every month I will bring you the five post that everybody has been loving the most from my blog.

 KITH x Versace

KITH’s historic Fall 2018 collaboration with Versace immediately became the stuff of legend, as it represented Versace’s first-ever streetwear collaboration and KITH’s initial foray into high-end ready-to-wear. Rich with gold-drenched layering pieces, the collection runs the gamut from lavish fur coats to plush silk robes to denim emblazoned with the first-ever redesigned Medusa Head, a selection of which is seen on supermodel Bella Hadid in the collection’s campaign.  (Post Here)

Coca-Cola "Orange Vanilla"

After more than a decade, Coca-Cola has just announced its newest official flavor. The idea came after the Coca-Cola marketing team revisited the success of the relaunch of the Coke Zero beverage — looking for other areas for growth. The other flavors considered were between raspberry, lemon, and ginger, but ultimately Orange Vanilla came out on top. (Post Here)

'Rick and Morty' Edition of 'Operation'

Just like the the original Operation, players will test their physical abilities as they remove parts from the cardboard cadaver — except this time around, organ names have been replaced with “Funatomy” pieces that are contained within “Anatomy Park” host, Ruben. Just like the animated show, Ruben contains a cocktail of illness-themed attractions ranging from Cerebral Cortex Carousel, Haunted Liver, Pirates of the Pancreas, Colon Log, Sphincter Dam, and Bone Train, to name a few, and it is the players job to remove each bodily “attraction” without touching the forceps to the metal edges of the game; with each successful removal of an illness, players are rewarded with varying amounts of play money. Made in conjunction with Jerry Lorenzo‘s Fear of God brainchild, this clunky model has been dressed in the subtle “Light Bone” tone from its upper and cross straps all the way across to its midsole. The only contrasting details are the black Swooshes that wrap around the back heel, the inner sole, and the small “Air Fear of God” decal on the lace buckle along with an icy blue semi-translucent window on the midsole which showcases the Air unit.

Named and inspired after Charle’s Barkley’s Air Force 180 as well as NSW’s Air 180, look for the Nike Air Fear of God 180 “Light Bone” to hit select Nike retailers, nike.com and Fear of God locations in the upcoming weeks. Keep it locked here for more details.

Nike is adding another American city-themed silhouette to the “Home and Away” pack after the recent drop of the Dallas-inspired Air Max 97. This time around, the Swoosh brand offers two varying color schemes of the Air Max 270, paying tribute to the “Emerald City” — Seattle.

Multiple Swoosh motifs are scattered throughout the mesh upper while the tinge of the lace stays alternate between the two supplementary tones. As a nod to the West Coast metropolis, its area code “206” is embossed on the medial side. A branded heel strap rest atop the interchangeable adhesive badge and finishing off the sporty look is a translucent bubble heel, hugely increasing the sneakers’ comfortability.

Coming in a Seattle Supersonics or Seahawks-inspired color schemes, the Nike Air Max 270 duo is set to launch on March 8 exclusively at Foot Locker, along with a campaign video featuring Seattle stars like Doug Baldwin, Ralph Sugultan and more.

The latest color scheme welcomes back its racing-inspired checkerboard print with its lateral Swoosh logos done in vivid Volt. Additionally, you’ll find the React Element’s taped seam with white stitching on the heel counter dipped in Crimson while both bright supporting colors are also placed on the lightweight foam react outsole.

This iteration of the Nike React Element 55 is expected to arrive this Spring for $130 USD at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com.
