Nike LeBron 7 "All-Star"

LeBron James‘s signature Nike line has put forth a veritable smorgasbord of appealing silhouettes over the course of his 17 NBA seasons, but one of the most memorable is the LeBron 7 “All-Star,” a bold makeup that’s set to return for the first time ever. The timing of its revival is nearly impeccable: James was recently named the captain of the Western Conference team for 2020’s NBA All-Star Game, and it’s been 10 years since he debuted the style during 2010’s contest in Dallas.

“Chlorine Blue” is the primary shade used on the LeBron 7 “All-Star.” Although it was crafted to match the 2010 contest’s uniforms, it just so happens to be a perfect accompaniment for the Chicago flag-and-transit-inspired 2020 ASG uniforms as well. This bold blue hue is accompanied by plentiful amounts of black detailing, ranging from the supportive Flywire on the quarter panels to the jet-black Swooshes, trim, throat, laces and midsole. LeBron’s “L23” logo appears on the medial heel, his signature graces the tongue and a small medallion is placed on the lateral heel. There’s also an woodgrain-style print on the mudguard and tongue for extra texture and a clever nod to Dallas’s car culture.

Multiple All-Star themed details are present as well, although you do need to look a little closer to find them. Insoles feature lasered leather patches with ASG-specific iconography. “East” and “2010” are split across the right and left laces respectively, a reminder that King James was leading the Cleveland Cavaliers instead of the Los Angeles Lakers a decade ago. Full-foot blue Air Max cushioning units provide signature comfort and support, while an icy blue outsole with a holographic medallion completes the look.

The Nike LeBron 7 “All-Star” will release on February 7 via BSTN, but Foot Locker has a drop slated for February 8 and other retailers are reporting February 12. The MSRP is set at $200 USD.
