UNDFTD x PUMA Clyde “Gametime” 24k Metallic Gold

Back in High School I wanted gold sneakers. Not even for the reason of wearing them to school. I wanted gold sneakers for the basketball court, I wanted to be cool cat daddy. Just think about how cool it would have been to walk out on the court with some gold sneakers on. The gym would go crazy. During basketball season was my time to put on a sneaker fashion show. Team colors were blue and red, the Patriots. I would be mixing and matching shoes left and right. You see I'll basketball beside me and two others was boring to watch. Had to give them something to look at.

A shoe that originally made headlines following this summer’s Bread & Butter in Berlin is today given a closer look. West Coast mainstay UNDFTD has been a longstanding partner with PUMA over the past few seasons with a particular focus remaining on the Clyde silhouette. The resurgence of the iconic silhouette has been aided by UNDFTD’s ability to recreate the shoe in both extremely wearable, deconstructed options or alternately chromatic-based reinterpretations. The latest installment sees the sports-centered duo experimenting with new a bold new colorway and an entirely new execution.

Luxe to the max, the iteration is mocked up in a streamlined, patent leather metallic gold upper that trails its influences all the way throughout the trademark Stripe and stitching. The all-gold perforated paneling and metallic laces are contrasting with red, white and blue striping along the heel that coincides with the same chromatic hits on the tongue tag. Situated atop a pure white midsole and outsole, a carefully inlaid stencil ”UND” lace lock and debossed stencil hit on the insole round out the dual branding. You can expect a limited run of the UNDFTD x PUMS “Gametime” 24k Metallic Gold to drop exclusively through UNDFTD locations beginning Friday, November 23.
