Time For Some New New (Shows I Been Watching)

It's been a minute since I did this. I don't know why. Sidenote: this photo above creeps you out? Me too. Anyways, The winter is here and it's about time to stay in the house. Look at me lying, I live in the house. Just will be living in more. I need a new bed cover for all this TV watching I'm about to be doing.

Maybe I should be regular and sit in a chair or the sofa.

Let's take a look at the new things I been watching.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix)

The series is centered on the Archie Comics character Sabrina Spellman, portrayed by Kiernan Shipka, and also stars Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Richard Coyle, and Miranda Otto. Originally in development during September 2017 at The CW, the series was intended to be a companion series to The CW series Riverdale; however, in December 2017, the project was moved to Netflix with a straight-to-series order, consisting of two seasons. Filming takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia, where both seasons will be shot back-to-back. The entire first season, consisting of 10 episodes, was released on October 26, 2018

I for one am happy it's not on The CW. I still can't get over how they fucked over UPN. Taking away so many great series. Will, we ever get an ending to Girlfriends? Ugh.

Anyways. I have been waiting on this since I first heard the news. I am a big Sabrina the teenage witch fan. So to see a remake that's not really a remake, open me up with joy. Now this series is as dark as the name tells you. Chilling. The mood and the lighting of this series give you everything you thought of witches. I haven't watched Riverdale yet but I been told if you like that, you will like this.  I'm five episodes deep so far and I been loving this.  I would love a Melissa Joan Hart cameo too, just saying.

Disenchantment (Netflix)

Set in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Dreamland, the series follows the story of Bean, a rebellious and alcoholic princess, her naïve elf companion Elfo, and her "personal demon" Luci. Disenchantment stars the voices of Abbi Jacobson, Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, John DiMaggio, Tress MacNeille, Matt Berry, David Herman, Maurice LaMarche, Lucy Montgomery, and Billy West.

In short, if you love the Simpsons and Futurama you will love this show. It has more of the Futurama style of pacing and they seem to hit the marks along the way of the episodes.

SMILF (Showtime)
SMILF is about Bridgette Bird, a young single mother struggling to balance her old life of freedom with her new life as a mom. This all comes to a head when Bridgette invites an old acquaintance over to her studio apartment while her son takes a nap.
I have been meaning to watch this show for about a year now. So much so that season two should be rolling out soon. It peaked my interest based on the fact that the lead in the show is from Blue Mountain State. I'm closing in on the last episode and it's cased as a comedy but it's not too many jokes to be found. I say that it's more real than funny in the best way possible.

This has to be the one time my list didn't run into the five? Wow. I really need to be put up on some new shows. Let me know in the comments what you been watching.
