Just over a week after adidas‘ Confirmed app app undermined the line-waiting, camping and other hassles associated with buying your favorite new releases, Nike has delivered their own sneaker app for the season. Here the Swoosh presents SNKRS, which, much like its German-built counterpart, will allow iOS and Android users to track their favorite releases from the Nike camp. SNKRS users can follow their favorite lineages – from Huaraches to Jordans to SBs – meaning no colorway or special release is ever overlooked. What’s more, SNKRS will allow users to easily purchase their kicks on-the-go, complete with real-time tracking information. SNKRS will release to a limited number of consumers beginning February 12 in New York at the Zoom City SNKRS Station. If in the area, be sure to follow Nike NYC on Twitter for clues on how to gain access, or head to the dedicated website. A wider release will arrive on the App Store and Google Play beginning later this spring.
